Nourishment That Supports Learning and Growth
Nutrition is an essential part of early learning. What children eat directly affects their ability to focus, their energy levels, their mood, and their long-term health. At Northtown Grand Daycare, meals are thoughtfully planned and carefully prepared by our in-house cook.
Our Meal Program
We offer an optional meal program for families who would like their child to enjoy fresh, balanced meals prepared on-site each day.
Meal Program Fee: $180/month This is an optional service and is billed separately from the provincial Parent Fee ($326.25/month). Families may opt in or out with written notice.
Children not enrolled in the meal program are welcome to bring food from home in accordance with our nutrition and food safety guidelines.

Transparency & Communication
We share our weekly menu with families and welcome feedback. If your child has specific dietary needs or preferences, we work with you to ensure they are nourished and comfortable.
Our educators also observe eating habits and communicate with parents if they notice changes in appetite or food-related concerns.
Sample Weekly Menu
Monday
- Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with whole grain toast
- Snack: Apple slices with cheese
- Lunch: Grilled chicken, brown rice, steamed broccoli
- Snack: Carrot sticks with hummus
Tuesday
- Breakfast: Oatmeal with banana and cinnamon
- Snack: Fresh berries and yogurt
- Lunch: Lentil soup, whole grain bread, mixed greens
- Snack: Whole grain crackers with avocado
Wednesday
- Breakfast: Whole grain pancakes with fruit
- Snack: Cucumber and cherry tomatoes
- Lunch: Baked fish, quinoa, roasted vegetables
- Snack: Fruit smoothie
Thursday
- Breakfast: Vegetable omelet with toast
- Snack: Pear slices and cheese cubes
- Lunch: Turkey meatballs, pasta, garden salad
- Snack: Homemade muffins (low sugar)
Friday
- Breakfast: Yogurt parfait with granola
- Snack: Melon cubes
- Lunch: Grilled chicken wrap, vegetable sticks, fruit
- Snack: Whole grain crackers with hummus
