Between the morning rush and the after-school hours, families need more than supervision. They need somewhere their child is known, encouraged, and kept genuinely engaged. Our out of school care program is built around that need. Children arrive to a warm, familiar environment, connect with caregivers who know them by name, and move through a day that balances homework, active play, healthy food, and purposeful enrichment.

Traditional after-school care focuses on watching the clock. Ours is designed by educators to make the hours outside the classroom count.

Who It's For

Our out of school care welcomes children from 0 through Grade 6 (approximately ages 0 to 12). Programming is grouped by age and stage so that a Kindergarten child and a Grade 5 student each get activities, expectations, and independence that fit where they are.

Kindergarten & early primary (K-Grade 2): guided play, early literacy games, gentle routines
Middle primary (Grades 3-4): homework support, group projects, skill-building challenges
Older children (Grades 5-6): leadership opportunities, independent choice time, deeper problem-solving

What We Offer

Before School Care

Start the day calm and unhurried. Children arrive from 7:00 AM, enjoy a nutritious breakfast, settle in with quiet activities, and are supported through the morning until it’s time to head to class. Parents get a reliable early drop-off; children get a positive start.

After School Care

When the school day ends, our team welcomes children back for a nourishing snack, dedicated homework time, active outdoor play, and hands-on enrichment workshops. The afternoon has rhythm and purpose, with care available until 6:00 PM so working families never feel rushed.

PD Days & School Closures

On professional development days, teacher conventions, and other closures, we run full-day out of school care packed with themed activities, field-trip-style exploration, and plenty of room to play. School is closed; the enrichment continues.

School Breaks & Holidays

Winter break, spring break, and summer are looked after with full-day programming that keeps children active, curious, and connected while parents are at work.

Enrichment That Continues Beyond the Classroom

Grand Daycare is known for its enriched curriculum, and our out of school care carries that same NTC-based approach into the school-age years. Rather than filling time, we build on what children are learning in school: strengthening cognitive skills, language and literacy, creative expression, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence through age-appropriate, real-world activities.
